  1. Source: Act on public holidays (Lag 1989:253 om allmanna helgdagar): riksdagen.se. Midsummer Eve (19 Jun), Christmas Eve (24 Dec) and New Year's Eve (31 Dec) are de facto days off for most employees but are not statutory public holidays and are not listed here.
  2. Midsummer Day falls on the Saturday between 20 and 26 June, and All Saints' Day on the Saturday between 31 October and 6 November. Sweden applies no substitute day when a holiday falls on a weekend.
