  1. Source: Resolution of 17 Oct-25 of the Directorate-General for Labour, published in the Official State Gazette (BOE-A-2025-21667): boe.es. These are the holidays of national scope. Each of the 17 autonomous communities and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla add further holidays of their own (up to four more), not listed here.
  2. Spain applies no national substitute day when a holiday falls on a weekend. In 2026 All Saints' Day (Sun 01 Nov) and Constitution Day (Sun 06 Dec) fall on a Sunday; individual communities may designate a substitute.
  3. Maundy Thursday (02 Apr) is a holiday in most but not all autonomous communities and is not part of the national set.
