  2. Christmas Eve (24 Dec) became a statutory public holiday from 2025.
  3. Under the Labour Code, a holiday falling on a Saturday entitles employees to an additional day off, designated by the employer within the settlement period; there is no nationally fixed substitute date and no working weekends. In 2026 this applies to the Assumption (Sat 15 Aug) and the Second Day of Christmas (Sat 26 Dec).
