Notes & Sources
- Recognised public holidays per the Government of the Netherlands: government.nl. Dutch law does not mandate paid leave on these days; whether an employee has the day off is set by the employment contract or collective labour agreement (CAO). Easter Sunday and Whit Sunday are not listed separately, as both always fall on a Sunday.
- Good Friday is an officially recognised public holiday but is a normal working day for most employees.
- Liberation Day (5 May) is a nationwide paid day off only once every five years; 2025 was such a year and 2026 is not, so for most employees it is a normal working day in 2026.
